Why Cruelty Free & Vegan?
I believe that we all have a responsibility to live as ethically and kindly as possible. Using Cruelty Free & Vegan cosmetics is another way of doing that.
When I made the change to a vegan lifestyle I felt it was right to include this in all aspects of my life, including my business. My aim is to provide a professional service for my clients using fantastic brands and products that align with my values.
I think there is a misconception that if a product is Vegan, Cruelty Free, ‘Green’ or Ethically Sourced then it is an inferior product. However, this simply is not the case and there are amazing brands out there leading change within the beauty industry.
I truly believe that there is no reason to test beauty products on animals and condemn them to a life of suffering. And, it doesn’t have to cost the earth to shop Vegan or Cruelty Free. As the demand for ethical products increases many affordable brands are bringing out high quality products for just a fraction of the price of the classic, well known brands.
That being said, I do not choose products based on their price, I choose them based on whether they do the job I want them to. I put new items through their paces before deciding to add them to my professional kit – they need to be able to stand up to the expectations of both myself as an artist and my clients as a recipient of my services. I use products from brands such as Illamasqua, Tarte, Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, E.L.F, B.Cosmetics, Kat Von D, The Ordinary and many more.
